American Barbeque: Saucy’s Walk-Up Bar.B.Q
Saucy’s Walk-UP Bar.B.Q is a pit stop for fast barbecue service located in an old brick building in the industrial part of Petersburg. You have your pick of both a sit-down section and a walk up counter. However, the sit down is not open until dinner time. Prices here are incredibly reasonable, and you can get a half rack of ribs for only $14. Saucy’s also has an excellent draft list that contains a fine range of local brews. Service is extremely fast, and everything is made from scratch down to Saucy’s secret BBQ sauce. Try their old-fashioned pull pork sandwich with a side of beans and slaw for a traditional treat. For dessert, their deep fried moon pie with a salted caramel glaze is a must-try.
